Step 1 – Prepare Your Natural Nails
- DON'T SKIP THIS STEP – IT'S CRUCIAL FOR LONGEVITY
Preparation is Key to Durability: Begin by removing any existing polish and washing your hands thoroughly to eliminate product buildup.
- Gently push back your cuticles to create space for your new manicure, which enhances the appearance of your nails.
- Use the softer (pink) side of the nail file to gently buff the surface of your natural nails.
- Clean the surface of your nails and surrounding cuticle area using an alcohol pad to kill germs and eliminate moisture, essential for a lasting and healthy manicure.
Step 2 – Application
Select the correct size of press-on nails by aligning them with your natural nails, using tiny numbers on the false nails for guidance.
For Long-Term Wear (Up to 14 Days with Glue):
- Apply a generous layer of glue to your natural nail, similar to applying polish, and apply glue to one-third of the press-on nail.
- Align the press-on nail with your cuticle and start from the nail base, pressing downward.
- Firmly press down for 5 minutes to ensure no air pockets. Remove excess glue with a cuticle stick.
Note: Avoid placing nails directly onto your cuticles.
For Short-Term Wear (Lasts Up to 48 Hours with Tabs):
- Choose adhesive tabs that cover most of your natural nail surface.Position the adhesive tab on your natural nail, ensuring it extends approximately 1-2mm from the cuticle. Press and smooth the tab down gently. Peel off the protective film from the tab and firmly adhere it to the nail.
- Push the adhesive tabs around the edges of the nail to ensure a secure fit.
- With a 45-degree angle, press the nail inward, pushing the press-on nail towards the cuticle. Maintain the pressure for 20 seconds to secure the press-on nail in place.
Note: Avoid exposing your nails to water for the first 1-2 hours after application for optimal results
- Repeat for Each Nail:Repeat the process for each of your natural nails, one at a time. Take your time to ensure proper alignment and adhesion for each press-on nail.
- Maintenance: Avoid exposing your nails to excessive water or moisture immediately after application to allow the adhesive to fully set.
Expert Tips:
- Start by applying press-on nails to your weaker hand first, saving your thumbnail for last.
- Prevent fingerprints by using the tip of your finger when applying glue to the nails.
- Customize the shape and length of the nails using a clipper or nail file, ensuring they are polished and acetone-proof.
- Save any extra nails for your next mix-and-match manicure – it's both trendy and environmentally conscious!
